BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Six Sharks scored in double figures as Long Island University opened its home schedule with an impressive 102-42 victory over Pratt Institute.
Senior forward Jamal Fuller led all scorers with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting in just 17 minutes of action. Jalen "Roc" Lee added 18 points, going 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Malachi Davis chipped in 13 points and a game-high 9 assists. Shadrak Lasu grabbed nine rebounds in the win.
The victory marked LIU's first home-opening win since 2022, when the Sharks defeated Mount Saint Vincent 111-50.
LIU's defense stifled the Cannoneers, holding them to just 26.7 percent shooting from the field. Pratt Institute made only three field goals in the second half, shooting 13.6 percent (3-of-22).
Next, LIU will embark on a West Coast road trip, facing Air Force and California Baptist. The Sharks' next home game will be Nov. 20, when they host Columbia at the Steinberg Wellness Center.
