For the second straight day and third time this season, the LIU women's hockey team defeated Saint Anselm, 2-1, on an overtime goal.

Emma Mörtl produced the game-winner in the extra session on Saturday.
LIU (19-2-0) swept the four-game regular-season season series from the second-place Hawks (15-6-1) and took a commanding lead in the NEWHA standings as the Sharks aim to repeat as regular-season champions.
On Friday, it was
Mikayla Lantto who scored the winner six seconds into overtime. And back on Nov. 11 on Long Island, the Sharks got an OT goal from
Jeannie Wallner to top Saint Anselm.
Tindra Holm made 24 saves in Saturday's victory.
The Sharks next host Stonehill next Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. at Northwell Health Ice Center.
