Bri Eid Tallies OT Winner as Women's Hockey Gets Back on Track

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — It took extra time, but the LIU women's hockey team is back on track.

Bri Eid scored with 67 remaining in overtime to lift the Sharks to a 2-1 victory against Franklin Pierce on Sunday night at Northwell Health Ice Center.

LIU snapped a two-game NEWHA skid and improved to 15-2 in the conference.

Sharks left winger Ashley Morrow had scored the equalizer 90 seconds into the second period on a shorthanded goal.

LIU had four power-play chances in the third period that went for naught.

Center Sarah Rourke, a senior from Shawnigan Lake, B.C., played in her 100th collegiate game.

LIU now hits the road for four straight games — next Friday and Saturday at Assumption and the following weekend at Saint Anselm.
