PHILADELPHIA — The LIU field hockey team continues to show a competitive nature as it searches for its first win of the season.
The Sharks fell to host Temple, 1-0, on Thursday at Howarth Field.
It marked the second straight setback by that score for the Sharks, with the other coming Sunday at Providence.
Goalie
Fleur Hofman made seven saves in the defeat at Temple.
The Owls had the edge in shots (18-6) and shots on goal (8-4).
The Sharks (0-4) get right back into action Friday when they face Cal at the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium at 2 p.m.
