LIU Women's Hockey Turns to Game 2 after Season Opener vs. No. 5 Huskies

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The LIU women's hockey team shows no fear in challenging the top teams in the nation.

That again proved true in the 2023-24 season opener on Friday night.

LIU fell to No. 5 Northeastern, 6-0, at Northwell Health Ice Center in the season opener.

Freshmen Grace Babington and Sam Mathe made their collegiate debuts for the Sharks in the loss.

The teams meet again on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in East Meadow.
