POMONA, N.Y. — The LIU baseball team blasted three home runs on Wednesday. And the longest shot of the afternoon didn't even leave Clover Stadium.
JC Navarro,
Carlton Harper and
Jack Power went deep as the Sharks defeated Manhattan, 10-2, on Wednesday afternoon.
LIU nearly also got a mammoth homer from
Jake Mastillo, but his shot hit the top of the expansive batter's eye in center field.
Starter
Justin DeCastro limited the Jaspers to one run on two hits in four innings.
Tatsuya Uemoto,
Ryun Cross,
Shane Tucker,
Evan Panjwani and
PJ Moritz combined to blank Manhattan over the final 4 1/3 innings.
LIU has a bye from NEC play this weekend and instead hosts NJIT on Long Island.
