BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association has recognized seven LIU student-athletes for their achievements in the classroom.

Robbie Sagaris (125 pounds), Kaelan Francois (133), Devin Matthews (141), Blake Bahna (165), TJ Franden (174), Joe Lopresti (184) and Aeden Begue (285) earned 2023 EIWA Academic Achievement Awards.

The seven Sharks wrestlers achieved the recognition by maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 and participating in the EIWA Tournament.

Lopresti, a junior business administrator major, had the top GPA among the group, with a 3.67.
