Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. — The LIU baseball team will head back to the Northeast looking for its first win.
The Sharks were swept by The Citadel with a 16-5 loss on Sunday at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park.
Connor Price delivered an RBI single in the top of the first to give LIU the lead, but the answered with eight runs in the bottom half.
Jake Mastillo went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.
After facing stiff Southern competition the first three weeks of the season, LIU now opposes teams from its region. That begins with a game at Stony Brook on Wednesday, then the opening NEC series next weekend at Fairleigh Dickinson.
