NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — The LIU women's basketball team shined on the road against Merrimack in the Sharks' 58-54 win against the Warriors.

Freshman guard Mariah Elohim scored a team-high 17 points in LIU's sixth win of the season. Junior guard Ashley Austin scored 14 points and also dished out three assists.

Gradute student Cristina Bermejo also stepped up big. The guard scored seven points, while Claire Henson and Emaia O'Brien dropped six points each.

LIU, which has won three of its last four games returns to action against Central Connectiuct State on March 2. 

The NEC Tournament starts March 6.
