PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The LIU wrestling team held a two-point lead on Friday night with two matches remaining.

However, the Sharks were unable to hold on and fell to Brown, 27-18.

LIU had led 18-16 before Drew Clearie pinned TJ Franden at 174 pounds and James Araneo closed the evening with a technical fall win against Joe Lopresti at 184 pounds.

The Sharks conclude their regular season at Sacred Heart on Feb. 18 and then head to the EIWA championships beginning March 3 at the Palestra in Philadelphia.
