DOVER, DEL.—  The LIU women's basketball team kicked off its DMV road trip when it traveled to Dover to take on Delaware State on Monday night.

Ashley Austin was the leading scorer for LIU once again with 15 points. She also added three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Amaya Dowdy was second in points with 14.

Samantha Bailey the Sharks in rebounds with nine, five of which were offensive.

Emaia O'Brien was the assist leader with four and also scored 11 points.

The Sharks will return to the court on Wednesday when they travel to Blacksburg to take on nationally ranked Virginia Tech at 6 p.m.
