BLACKSBURG, VA.— The LIU women's basketball team wrapped up its DMV road trip on Wednesday night when it traveled to nationally ranked Virginia Tech. The Sharks fought but fell 98-50.
Mariah Elohim had a nice shooting night, going 3-9 from three while recording a team-high 11 points.
Ashley Austin was once again in double figures, scoring 10. She also recorded three steals and two assists.
Freshman
Janessa Williams was the leading rebounder with 10 while
Emaia O'Brien,
Samantha Bailey and Austin were all tied for the assist lead with two.
The Sharks will return to the court on Thursday Dec. 21 when they host Manhattan at 12 p.m.
