MIAMI, FLA.— The LIU men's basketball team started its Florida road trip when it traveled to Miami to take on FIU.
The Sharks hung in tough with the Panthers throughout the first half, closing the lead to one but they could never overtake FIU as it took a seven-point lead into the half.
Costly turnovers and some calls that did not go LIU's way would cost it as the Sharks fell 74-59.
LIU had four players with double digit point totals.
R.J. Greene led with 13,
Eric Acker and
Terell Strickland both score 12 while
Tai Strickland had 11.
