CHESTNUT HILL, N.Y. — The LIU men's hockey team raced to an early two-goal lead against fifth-ranked Boston College on Friday night.
However, the Eagles ultimately overcame the deficit en route to a 4-2 victory against the Sharks at Conte Forum.
Remy Parker scored from the left wing just 55 seconds into the game, and
Valtteri Piironen staked the Sharks to a 2-0 lead 8:53 into the opening period.
Boston College evened the score before the period's completion and took the lead for good with a power-play goal from Boston Bruins draft pick Andre Gasseau midway through the second period.

Brandon Perrone made 34 saves, matching his career high, as the Sharks again played a tight contest against a highly ranked opponent.
LIU had opened the season with a 3-2 loss on Long Island against then-No. 16 Penn State.
The Sharks (0-3) look to earn their first win of the season when they visit Stonehill in North Easton, Mass., on Saturday at 5 p.m.
