BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The LIU women's basketball team did not have to travel far for its 12th road game of the season.
The Sharks took a one mile trip to St. Francis Brooklyn for their Monday matinee matchup against the Terriers.Â
LIU competed hard in their 66-60 loss and Shyan Mwai was a big reason why.
The graduate student scored a team-high 20Â points and grabbed five rebounds against the Terriers.Â
Ashley Austin and Mariah Elohim also stepped up for the Sharks. Austin scored 13 points and Elohim finished the game with 10 points.
LIU hosts Central Connecticut State on Thursday, before playing at Stonehill on Saturday afternoon.
