BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU women's soccer team claimed its first point in Northeast Conference on Sunday.
The Sharks played to a scoreless draw with Sacred Heart, moving to 2-6-2 and 0-1-1 in NEC play.
Goalkeeper
Kayla DeTreux kept things level with three key saves while facing nine shots.
Sarah Borer finished with four shots, including three on goal. One of her opportunities hit the crossbar.
"The girls played really well," coach
Lucy Gillett said. "We put a game plan out for them and they executed it perfectly. Hopefully this is going to give them the confidence they sort of need to get over the hump and start getting more success."
LIU next will travel to Massachusetts to face Stonehill on Thursday at 3 p.m.
