BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Northeast Conference play began for LIU women's soccer on Thursday afternoon.
The Sharks fell to CCSU, 2-0, and move to 2-6-1 and 0-1 in conference play.
Kelly Brady scored the game's first goal on a 19th-minute penalty kick.
After a red card in the 57th minute, the Sharks played down a man for the majority of the second half.
Trailing by two,
Nevaeh Rascon scored straight from a corner-kick in the 87th minute to bring LIU within one. The goal was the first of her Sharks career.

Kendra Oldroyd and
Matiana Valdez each registered a shot.
Up next, LIU will host Sacred Heart on Sunday at 1 p.m.
