LOWELL, Mass. — The LIU field hockey team had a valiant effort in game two of 2022.
The Sharks fell to UMass Lowell, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon.
The game was scoreless through the first, but Nighthawks rattled off two quick goals to take the game's first lead.
Kaitlyn Olton registered two shots, one on goal.
Maggie Streichert saved six shots, totaling 16 through two contests.
The Sharks return to New York to face Columbia on Sept. 2 at 1 p.m.
