FAIRBANKS, Alas. – The LIU men's ice hockey team fell to Alaska Fairbanks in the second game of the series Saturday night, 5-1. LIU moves to 10-19-3 with the loss.

• The Nanooks scored twice in the span of a minute to take an early 2-0 lead.
• Spencer Cox got the Sharks on the board just a few minutes late, scoring a power play goal with assists from Tyler Welsh and Jordon Timmons, to cut the lead to 2-1.
• But Alaska would add aa goal in the second, and then two more in the third, including an empty net shot, to take the 5-1 win.
• Kris Carlson made 27 saves in net for the Sharks.
• Up next, LIU travels to wrap up the regular season taking on Arizona State in a two-game series, Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12.
