Box Score EASTON, PA – The LIU men's tennis team defeated Lafayette College 6-1 for their fourth straight victory. The Sharks improve to 10-5 on the year.

"I am very pleased with our continued improvement in doubles versus Lafayette today," said associate head coach Pavlos Stephanides. "Certainly the highlight of the match was our senior walk-on, Vikas Dala, getting to play and win his first-ever collegiate tennis match in the third set super tiebreaker. Overall, this was a very successful weekend on the road winning three matches, two versus conference opponents in a convincing manner. We are now looking forward to our match with Saint John's at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center this Wednesday."  

SHARK BITES:

• LIU was hot out of the gate sweeping all three matches on the doubles courts to take the 1-0 lead.
• Moving to the singles play, Alessandro D'Anna triumphed over Ross Coleman 6-0, 6-1 on court four.
• Over on court one, Ben Brandherm continued his hot streak with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Nash Lovallo.
• Guilherme De Medeiros took a three-set thriller over Davis Esslinger on court five 0-6, 6-3, 6-0 and clinched the match for the Sharks at 4-0.
• Vikas Dalal and Sergio Fernandez Romera each won on their respective courts, with Dalal winning on court six 6-7, 6-2, 11-9 over Luke Ritchie and Romera emerging victorious on court three 6-3, 6-3 against Josh Wolfe to secure the 6-1 victory for LIU.
• The Sharks are back in action on Wednesday, March 23rd when they travel to Queens to face St. Johns at 1 p.m.
