EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The LIU women's ice hockey team returned home Saturday to face Sacred Heart for the second time in two straight days. It proved to be a thriller, as
Sarah Rourke scored the game-tying goal with 4:32 to play, forcing the game to overtime. The OT period saw multiple chances, but nothing was enough to break the deadlock, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. LIU's record moves to 13-10-3 overall, and 11-1-2 in NEWHA play.

- Sacred Heart got on the board first with a goal at the 12:37 mark, giving the Pioneers the first lead of the contest.
- Maggie Culp evened the score at the beginning of the second, her fifth goal of the season, bringing the score to 1-1.
- Heading into the third and final period, the score remained 1-1. Tindra Holm had 15 saves through the first two periods, anchoring the defense in hopes of a victory.
- The Pioneers took a 2-1 lead with 13:32 remaining.
- At the 4:32 mark, Rourke scored the game-tying goal off an assist from Maggie Korneta.
- The OT period saw Holm collect more high-level saves, pushing her total to 27 for the game.
