BURLINGTON, Vt. - The LIU women's ice hockey team had a big NEWHA win on the road Monday, beating Saint Michael's College, 6-0. With the win, LIU improves to 14-14-3 overall, and 12-3-2 in NEWHA action. Junior Megan Bouveur led the Sharks to the win with two goals and two assists.

SHARK BITES

• The Sharks scored two goals in each period en route to the win. Abby Latorella got LIU on the board just over two minutes into the game, off a pass from Bouveur and Bri Eid. Bouveur would score one of her own five minutes later, with help from Molly Meyers and Latorella.
• Stella Scott scored one for the Sharks just 19 seconds in to the second period, to make it 3-0 for the visitors. Latorella and Bouveur also had assists on the goal.
• LIU's next goal was scored on a power play by freshman Bri Eid near the end of the period, assisted by Jeannie Wallner and Sarah Rourke, and the Sharks led 4-0 heading into the final period.
• LIU scored two goals in the span of a minute to clinch the win in the third period. Ceilidh Campbell had an unassisted goal, and just over 30 seconds later, Bouveur scored her second goal of the game, with assists for Eid and Scott.
• Freshman Tindra Holm made 16 saves in net for LIU in the win.
• Up next, the two teams face off in an early morning matchup, Tuesday, February 22 at 11 a.m.
