RINGE, N.H – The LIU women's ice hockey team took on Franklin Pierce on Saturday night in the second of their two-matchup series and ended up falling 4-1 the Ravens.
 
The Sharks are now 11-3-2 in conference play heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
 
SHARK BITES

• Franklin Pierce started the scoring for the match, netting two in the first to take a 2-0 lead over the Sharks.
• On a power play in the second period LIU pulled one back to put the score at 2-1 with a goal from junior Carrigan Umpherville assisted by freshmen Jeannie Wallner and Bri Eid.
• In the third period though, the Ravens extended their lead early on with a power play goal to put the score at 3-1. FPU finished off the game by scoring in the final minute of the third to claim the 4-1 win over the Sharks.
• Up next, the LIU travels to Vermont to take on Saint Michael's College on Monday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
