RINGE, N.H – The LIU women's ice hockey team took on Franklin Pierce on the road Friday night, falling to the Ravens, 2-1 after a late third period goal from the hosts. With the loss, LIU moves to 11-2-2 in NEWHA action.

• The game was scoreless until the second period when midway through, the Ravens scored an even strength goal to go ahead 1-0.
• The Sharks responded four minutes later to even the game at 1-1 when junior Megan Bouveur sent one into the back of the FPU net, on assists from junior Carrigan Umpherville and freshman Bri Eid.
• The match remained 1-1 until the dwindling moments of the third period, when the Ravens scored with just 17 seconds remaining in regulation play to take the game to 2-1.  
• Up next, the Sharks take on Franklin Pierce for the second in a two-game series on Saturday, February 19 at 7 p.m.
