EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The LIU women's ice hockey team took on the No. 15 Penn State Nittany Lions for the second day in a row. The Sharks ultimately fell to the Nittany Lions, 2-0. 
 
SHARK BITES

• After the first period, the score remained 0-0 with a stout defensive showing from the Sharks. Tindra Holm notched 13 saves in the first 20 minutes.
• Penn State was able to score on a power play at the 12:56 mark in the second, making it 1-0.
• The Nittany Lions added another goal in the third period to make it 2-0.
• Holm finished with 40 saves in the contest. Abby Latorella led the team with three shots, while Sarah Rourke collected two shots, as well.
• Up next, the Sharks will travel to Franklin Pierce for two weekend games with the first on Friday, February 18.
