The LIU Women's Basketball team wraps up its two-game road trip with a 75-40 loss to Illinois.
For the second straight game, the Sharks were led by Emaia O'Brien, who scored a team-high 9 points.
De'Asia Thomas helped out with six points of her own, while Sydni Smith played a team-high 25:06 minutes.
"This road swing was a great experience for our players," said head coach Rene Haynes. "We have worked hard daily and we are building something here."
The Sharks wrap up their road trip with a 1-1 record. LIU is back on the court Saturday afternoon at 2p.m. at Hartford.
"We have experienced some great moments on this trip and some we can build on. We are excited to grow and rise with this team," said Haynes.
