MANCHESTER, N.H. — The LIU women's ice hockey team stormed back from a two-goal deficit, getting goals from
Carrigan Umpherville and
Abby Latorella to pull even.
However, Saint Anselm's Natalie Tulchinsky scored with 2 minutes, 47 seconds remaining in the third period and LIU suffered its first NEWHA loss, 3-2, on Friday night.
Latorella's goal had come early in the third period to even the score at 2.
LIU dropped to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in NEWHA play.
The teams meet again on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sullivan Arena.
