BOSTON, Mass. – The LIU men's hockey team held the #11 team in the nation to just one goal in the third period on the road Friday, falling to Northeastern, 1-0. Senior goalie Vincent Purpura made 25 saves in net for the Sharks.

• The Huskies outshot LIU 26-18, but Purpura kept LIU in the game until an even-strength goal 10 minutes into the third period.
• Senior Carson Musser and freshman Spencer Cox each had three blocked shots on defense for LIU.
• Senior PJ Marrocco led the Sharks with four shots, while Billy Jerry won 17 of his 25 faceoffs.
• Up next, the Sharks (4-13-3) will face off with the Huskies (14-4-1), Saturday, January 8 at 4:30 p.m.
