BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – For the second time this season, the LIU men's soccer team battled for 110 minutes with no winner decided. The Sharks battled Columbia at home Saturday, finishing the game in a 0-0 double overtime tie.
 
LIU out-shot the Lions, 21-13, and had multiple near misses on net, but couldn't finish, and move to 3-2-2 on the season with the draw.
 
Keeper Demetri Skoumbakis made eight saves to keep LIU in the game.
 
Several Sharks had multiple shots: Andre Puente led the team with four shots, while Papa Sow, Emil Jaaskelainen, Matthias Heiland and Assane Ben Fall each had three shots in the game.
 
Up next, the Sharks head out on a three-game road swing, taking on Manhattan College, Tuesday, September 21.
