MIAMI, Ohio – The LIU football team matched up with Miami on the road Saturday afternoon. The Sharks battled their third FCS team in as many weeks, falling to the Red Hawks, 42-7.
 
Quarterback Camden Orth was a strong spot for the Sharks, as he went 15-for-21 with 178 passing yards, including a touchdown. On the receiving end. Tosin Oyekanmi had 67 yards on three catches, while senior Derick Eugene had 56 yards on six catches, including LIU's lone touchdown.
 
Miami would score on its first drive of the game, but the Sharks held the home team scoreless for the rest of the first period. One of the key defensive plays came from Jerome Brooks III , who had an interception on the Red Hawks' second drive.
 
LIU had the ball to start the second quarter, and answered Miami by scoring on their first drive of the quarter. Orth completed a 24-yard pass to Eugene for the touchdown, and Paul Inzerillo's extra point was good, tying it up, 7-7.
 
The home team would score twice more before the halftime break, leading the Sharks 21-7. Miami would add 14 more points in the third, and seven in the fourth, to take the win in the end by a final score of 42-7.
