LORETTO, Pa. – The LIU football team started Northeast Conference play on the road Saturday, taking on Saint Francis U. The Red Flash got the better of the Sharks, 55-10.
LIU got on the board first, on a
Paul Inzerillo field goal, 3-0. But SFU would score the first touchdown of the game just three minutes later, and the Red Flash did not relinquish the lead from there on out.
The home team would build the lead up to 41-3 before the Sharks would score again midway through the fourth quarter. Sophomore running back
Shemar Paul scored on a six-yard run, and Inzerillo's kick was good. SFU would add one more touchdown to close out the game, winning by a final score of 55-10.
