Patrovich Welcomes Brennan to Wrestling Staff

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – LIU wrestling head coach Joe Patrovich announced the addition of Conor Brennan to his staff this week as an assistant coach. Brennan was a team captain, NCAA qualifier, EWL champion and freestyle All-American in his time at Rider University.

"Conor's credentials speak for themselves," Patrovich said. "As a three-time EWL conference champion and an NCAA qualifier, he brings a wealth of knowledge to our program. He placed third at the Midlands, and was ranked as high as seventh in the country. The staff, veteran wrestlers and recruits are all fired up to have Conor on board!"

A three-time NCAA qualifier, Brennan has wrestled successfully with the best in the nation. In his senior season at Rider, he finished NCAAs as a quarterfinalist at 165 lbs, having been ranked as high as seventh in the country. A three-time EWL conference champion, he wrestled his way to over 70 wins collegiately, and finished his high school career with 118 wins in New Jersey. He has won the Keystone Classic at 165lbs, and placed third at the Midlands Tournament.

Since college, he has spent time as an assistant coach with the Shore Thing Wrestling Club, and worked as a police officer in New Jersey. Brennan graduated from the Monmouth County Police Academy in 2018, and earned his degree in criminal justice from Rider in 2016.
