MORGANTOWN, W.V. – The LIU football team took on its second FCS opponent in as many weeks Saturday, as the Sharks faced off against the Big 12's West Virginia in Morgantown with a home field crowd of 60,000 people. West Virginia got the better of the Sharks, taking the victory 66-0.
The Sharks were held to 95 yards on offense. Quarterback
Camden Orth was 11-for-20 with 60 passing yards, while
Jonathan DeBique had 23 yards rushing to lead LIU's ground game. Defensively, junior
Matthew Molina had four solo tackles, including one for a loss, along with a sack. Sophomore
Qualil Lumpkins had a fumble recovery for the Sharks.
