LIU got on the board in the bottom of the third inning.
Cade Biddle got on base with a single through the left side, and stole second. He would come home on
Anthony Warneke's single to left center field. Two straight walks would load the bases, and Camilo would get an RBI walk, to put LIU up, 2-0.
Giovanni Ciaccio would bring one more run home with an RBI single, and the Sharks led, 3-0.
In the top of the fourth, CCSU evened the score, adding three runs on two hits and two errors. The Blue Devils went up in the top of the fifth, using an RBI single to take the 4-3 lead.
It was Camilo who would tie the game up in the bottom of the fifth.
Davyn Adamscheck led off with a walk, and
Christopher Wasson doubled down the left field line to move him to third. Camilo would use an RBI groundout to bring him home, tying it up, 4-4.
In the bottom of the ninth, Biddle led off with a walk. Warneke's sacrifice bunt would move to him to second. CCSU would intentionally walk
EJ Exposito, and both runners advanced on a groundout. The Blue Devils would then intentionally walk Wasson with two outs, in hopes of ending the inning. But Camilo had a strong at bat, and for the second time in the game, he had an RBI walk, and the Sharks won on the walk-off, 5-4.
Up next, the Sharks have a series with Sacred Heart at home, slated for April 23 to April 25.
