HAMDEN, Conn. - The LIU men's ice hockey team took on #2 nationally-ranked Quinnipiac for the second night in a row, and fell to the Bobcats on the road, 5-0 at Frank Perrotti Jr. Arena. With the loss, LIU moves to 4-10-3, while Quinnipiac is 14-1-3.

• Quinnipiac scored quickly in the first, banking two goals in the first four minutes of the game. The Bobcats led 3-0 after the first.
• Another two early goals in the second gave the home team the 5-0 lead. Quinnipiac out-shot LIU 36-9 throughout the game.
• Freshman Spencer Cox blocked four shots for the Sharks on defense.
• Goalies Brandon Perrone and Vincent Purpura split time, making 15 and 16 saves respectively.
• Up next, the Sharks head to the Buckeye State to take on Ohio State, Friday, December 31 at 7 p.m.
