SHELTON, Conn. – The LIU women's hockey team extended its win streak to six-straight Saturday, beating Post University on the road, 6-1. With the victory, LIU moves to 6-6-0 overall and 6-0 in the NEWHA.
 
SHARK BITES

• Junior Megan Bouver scored first for the Sharks near the end of the first period, with help from Matilda af Bjur and Carrigan Umpherville. Two minutes later, Megan Roe added a second goal with help from Abby Latorella.
• Freshman Jeannie Wallner started scoring in the second period off passes from Bri Eid and Renee Hoffmann.
• Post would get on the board in the second, cutting the lead to 3-1, but Wallner added a second goal near the end of the period, scoring off a pass from Journey Miller to make it 4-1.
• In the third period, junior Renee Hoffmann would net a goal from Wallner to make it 5-1, and four minutes later, Maggie Culp scored a power play goal to make it 6-1, with assists to Maggie Korneta and Megan Roe.
• Freshman Tindra Holm had 13 saves in the win in net.
• Roe led the Sharks in face offs, going 13-3 in the circle.
• Up next, the Sharks have a break before hosting Saint Anselm, Friday, November 19 at 3 p.m.
