OXFORD, Ohio – The LIU men's ice hockey fell to the Miami Redhawks Saturday afternoon in Ohio, 4-1, as the teams met for the second time in two days. With the loss, LIU moves to 4-8-3 this season.

• Miami scored two goals in the first period, including one on a power play to lead 2-0 after the first.
• LIU got on the board in the second period with a power play goal of its own. The Sharks saw Carson Musser score, assisted by Nolan Welsh to cut the lead to 2-1.
• But two more goals for the Redhawks in the third period clinched the win for the home team, 4-1.
• Kris Carlson had 15 saves in the loss, including seven in the third period.
• Carter Ekberg and Jake Stevens both had three blocks defensively for LIU.
• Up next, the Sharks host Quinnipiac in a home and home series, at Northwell Ice Center, Friday, December 10, and in Connecticut, Saturday, December 11.
