OXFORD, Ohio – The LIU men's ice hockey team had a big road win Friday night, beating the Miami Redhawks, 7-4. With the win, the Sharks move to 4-7-3 on the season.

• LIU scored four goals in the first period to jump out to the early lead.
• The Sharks scored four and a half minutes into the first, on a power play goal by Tyler Welsh. Spencer Cox and Jake Stevens both had the help on the play.
• Miami scored 20 seconds later, evening up the score, 1-1.
• Jack Quinn would put LIU back on top, scoring with help from Marty Westhaver and Carter Ekberg.
• Isaiah Fox and PJ Marrocco added goals in the first to put LIU up, 4-1.
• In the third, Dylan Schuett would score first. Welsh added another power play goal, and Marrocco added an unassisted empty net goal in the final seconds to clinch LIU's 7-4 victory.
• Goalie Kris Carlson made 13 saves in the win for LIU.
• Up next, the two teams face off in a rematch, Saturday, November 27 at 5:05 p.m.
