BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The LIU women's soccer team battled Bryant for nearly 95 minutes at home Sunday on Senior Day, before falling to the Bulldogs, 1-0 on a golden overtime goal.
Prior to to the game, the Sharks honored 12 seniors:

Emily Poole,
Kimmy Glasser,
Taylor Curcio,
Emily Tirado,
Libby Dayton,
Olivia Wesch,
Hikari Yamada,
Sarah Borer,
Shab Nasary and
Kelsey Wright.
The two teams battled almost evenly for 90 minutes, nearly matching each other in shots (17-16) and corner kicks (5-2), with each goalie making five saves in net. But neither team could score. Bryant had several close chances, as did the Sharks. Senior
Emily Poole was just a half an inch from a goal in the 89tth minute. Her shot across the box to the back left corner was nearly perfect, but hit the left post and bounced back out. And sophomore
Sami Jablonski had two shots in overtime that were saved by the keeper.
In the end, it was Bryant who would get the golden goal in the 94th minute, scoring off a rebounded shot to take the win, 1-0.
