SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The LIU field hockey team fell on the road Sunday, succumbing to Bryant, 1-0. With the loss, the Sharks are now 6-9 overall, and 4-2 in the Northeast Conference, while Bryant improves to 2-4 in NEC action.
The Bulldogs scored early, getting a goal on the board in the eighth minute of play. Though LIU would outshoot the home team 10-6, the Bulldogs' goalie made some key saves to preserve the shutout and earn the win for her team in net.
