LIU's second run came with two outs. Warneke started it off again, getting hit by a pitch then stealing second. Camilo drove him home with a single down the left field line, doubling the Sharks advantage. Salvatore Ferro relieved Loeschorn in the sixth. He held the Colonels scoreless through 1.1 innings. Nick Torres got the last two outs in the seventh inning and helped keep the lead at two through the eighth.

Insurance was added in the top of the ninth by way of a Warneke single. Cade Biddle drew a walk then stole second. Warneke put the ball through the left side of the infield, driving Biddle home. Torres remained in the game, earning his first save of the year.
