FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Long Island University field hockey team concluded its regular season Northeast Conference schedule on Friday afternoon, falling to No. 24 Fairfield, 6-0.

On the day, the Sharks had two shots on goal and two offensive penalty corners.

Emily Floury each had a shot on target, both of which were saved by the Stags' goalkeeper.

Rachel Vellis had two saves in 45 minutes of action.
Maggie Streichert made her first collegiate appearance in net coming in to close out the game in the fourth quarter.

The Sharks close out the 2019 regular season with a non-conference matchup at Temple on Sunday, November 3. Game time against the Owls is set for 1:00 p.m. The Sharks await their seeding in the upcoming NEC Championship, which will be announced after the Rider vs. Sacred Heart game tonight.Â
