BROOKVILLE, N.Y.- The Long Island University field hockey team hosts Sacred Heart on Friday afternoon for its final home game of the regular season. The Sharks then head to Rhode Island for a matchup at Bryant on Sunday, October 27.

NOTES ON THE SHARKS
The Sharks are looking to rebound from a 3-1 non-conference loss at Hofstra last Saturday. Junior
Sammy Bell scored the lone goal for the Sharks and leads the team with seven goals this season. LIU also defeated Merrimack 4-1 last Friday, in the highest scoring game for the Sharks this season. Bell had two goals against the Warriors, while
Jonna Klein-Holte scored her first career goal and
Emma Braeckmans scored her second goal of the season. Over the two games last weekend, junior
Rachel Vellis made eight saves.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Sacred Heart University Pioneers are looking to extend their win streak to four games. The Pioneers are coming off a 3-2 win against Lehigh last Sunday. Colleen McAninley, Kayla Kruk and Makenna Crawford each scored against the Mountain Hawks. Hailey Power earned the win in goal behind six saves and zero goals allowed. Alyssa Stevens came in for the second half and had a season-high nine saves and two goals allowed.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Bryant University Bulldogs take on Rider before hosting the Sharks on Sunday. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-1 loss at Northeastern last Sunday. Marijn Jaarsma had a career-high 15 saves against Northeastern. Ally Burdick scored a goal in the third-straight game this season. She has third goals this season and is second on the team. Taryn Rauff leads the team with four goals this season.
