BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – For the second time this season, freshman forward Kaitlyn Olton has earned Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors.
 
Olton scored the eventual game-winning goal on Friday in a 2-1 win over Wagner to open up NEC Conference play. She also finished with one shot on goal in Sunday's 2-1 loss at Rider. Olton leads the team in scoring with six goals and 12 points. She also has a team-best three game winning goals this season.
 
Junior goalkeeper Rachel Vellis was also named a NEC Prime Performer this week.
 
The Sharks return to Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium to kick off homecoming weekend on Friday, October 18 when they host Merrimack in a NEC matchup. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
