LIU wrestling assistant coach John Arceri was an NCAA qualifier at the University at Buffalo, and was a national qualifier while competing with Nassau Community College.

He placed seventh at the Southern Scuffle.

During his prep career at Huntington High School, he was a state champion, High School Freak Show National Champion, two-time state finalist and four-time county champion.
