Erica Modena is a graduate of Manhattan College where she earned a bachelor's of science in 2017.

During her time at Manhattan, she was a member of the women’s soccer team, earning the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2017. She went on to study at Sacred Heart University where she received her masters of science in athletic training. While at Sacred Heart, she completed clinical rotations with women’s ice hockey and men’s lacrosse.
