Brandon Nakrin joined LIU in July 2022 as a strength and conditioning coach.

Nakrin is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Brooklyn campus. He is in his second year in this capacity. His primary sport is Women’s Basketball. He also trains several other sports and oversees the Brooklyn Strength and Conditioning department.

During his tenure at LIU, Nakrin has helped in the transformation of the Weight Room, getting new equipment and changing the layout to make it more efficient for the student-athletes.

Prior to LIU, Nakrin was the head strength & conditioning coach at Felician University for three years. While at Felician, the men’s basketball program saw tremendous success, winning the 2022 CACC Championship.

Nakrin was also an adjunct professor in the school of education, teaching an undergraduate physical education course.

Before Felician, Nakrin coached at Adelphi as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

He was also a strength & conditioning coach for the player development program at the United States Tennis Association. 

Nakrin owns a B.S. degree in sports management from Nichols College, conferred in 2011. He began his career in 2011 as a volunteer at Hofstra while earning an M.S. in sports science with a concentration in strength & conditioning, which he completed in 2013. Nakrin obtained his certification in Sports Nutrition through the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) in January 2023. He resides in Oyster Bay, N.Y.
