Tiara Mitchell joined the LIU staff as an assistant coach in May 2026. Prior to LIU, Mitchell was the head girls varsity basketball coach at W.T. White High School in Dallas, Texas from 2023-25, claiming back-to-back district championships and coach of the year honors. She has made several coaching stops throughout Texas, having been a coach at Arlington Bowie, Fort Worth Christian, and Ranger high schools. 

Additionally, Mitchell held an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator role at Ranger College in Texas from 2016-17 and was a director and coach for the Texas Top Prospects AAU Organization from 2018-2022.
