Kynnedy Azubike (Ahh- zoo-bee-kay) joined the LIU women’s basketball program as the team's director of women’s basketball operations in October 2021.
Before joining the Sharks, Azubike played with Eastern Kentucky University.
She handles all of the logistics for the team, including travel, meals, coordinating events, equipment and ticketing. In addition to Azubike’s daily operational responsibilities, she oversees the team's student managers, creates and executes creative video for social media accounts, and shoots photography.
Azubike previously has experience coaching, directing, and organizing basketball camps with K-12 athletes.
Azubike earned four varsity letters at Columbus Africentric High School and helped the girls basketball team win two Division III state championships (2014 and 2016). She competed at the 2017 District 17 All-Star game. She also was a four-year letter winner on the volleyball team and had the honor of being the school’s valedictorian.
A Columbus, Ohio, native, she earned a bachelor of science degree in exercise and sport science from Eastern Kentucky University in 2021.
