Aurielle Richards Anderson

Aurielle Richards Anderson joined LIU as assistant women's basketball coach in October 2021.

Her primary focus is point-guard development.

In her first year, Richards Anderson aided in the team’s perimeter improvement as well as perimeter player recruitment.

Richards Anderson played basketball at Western Michigan University.

Previously, Anderson coached at Gary West Side High School.

She also has served as a strength and conditioning coach at Kalamazoo College and Savannah State University.

A four-year letterwinner for Western Michigan’s women’s basketball team, Richards Anderson received many conference weekly honors and team accolades. During her sophomore season, she shared the team’s Most Valuable Defensive Player award. As a senior, she led the team with 93 assists and scored a season-high 26 points and had six rebounds and four assists at Milwaukee.
 
A Gary, Indiana, native, Richards Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Western Michigan in 2014.
 
Richards Anderson is honored to be a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
